Text: Malachi 3:9-18

    1. Far Reaching Consequences, Vs. 10-12

      1. They Were Also Robing Others,

      2. The blessings of God did not stop with the People of God,

Ephesians 4:28 “Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

  1. Despised by the People, Vs.13-18,

    1. The Complaining, Vs.13-15

      1. Speaking against the Lord,

Job 42:7 And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.

Mark 3:29But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

      2. Their second complaint,

Psalm 73:2-17 “For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.4For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.5They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they (Not) plagued like other men.6Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.7Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.8They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.9They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.10Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.11And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?12Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.13Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.14For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.15If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.16When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;17Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.”

Psalm 100: “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endurethto all generations.
